1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between you (“the Customer”) and Splintered, trading as sole trader Praful Vadolia, based in Canberra, ACT, Australia (“Splintered”). By placing an order or making an enquiry, you agree to these Terms.
2. Orders and Quotes
All enquiries are handled through the Splintered website and confirmed offline. A deposit may be required before work begins. Orders are considered confirmed once a deposit has been received.
3. Deposits and Payments
Splintered accepts bank transfers and cash. Deposits are refundable only to the extent that material costs are covered; once materials are purchased, their cost cannot be refunded. Full payment is required before delivery or collection.
4. Shipping and Delivery
Splintered offers:
Local delivery within Canberra and surrounds.
Shipping within Australia for furniture and decor items.
International shipping for smaller items such as utensils.
Delivery costs are calculated after the product is complete. Splintered is not responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers.
5. Returns and Refunds
Local returns are accepted at Splintered’s discretion. Custom-made items cannot be returned except where required under Australian Consumer Law. Refunds are limited to the purchase price paid, minus any non-refundable material costs.
6. Warranty and Liability
All items are sold “as is.” No warranty or guarantee is provided unless required by law. Splintered is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, nor for misuse of products or delays outside our control.
7. Intellectual Property
All designs, photographs, and creative content produced by Splintered remain the intellectual property of Splintered. Clients may share images of their commissioned pieces freely, provided attribution is given where appropriate. Splintered retains the right to share images of commissioned work for marketing purposes.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), Australia. Any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of ACT courts.
